چکیده
Processing driving data and investigating behavior has been receiving an increasing interest in the last decades, with applications ranging from car insurance pricing to policy making. A common strategy analyze is study maneuvers being performance by driver. In this paper, we propose TripMD, a system that extracts most relevant patterns sensor recordings (such as acceleration) provides visualization allows for easy investigation. Additionally, test our using UAH-DriveSet dataset, publicly available naturalistic dataset. We show (1) can extract rich number of single driver are meaningful understand behaviors (2) be used identify unknown set drivers whose know.

Analysis of planar ornament patterns via motif asymmetry assumption and local connections
Planar ornaments, a.k.a. wallpapers, are regular repetitive patterns which exhibit translational symmetry in two independent directions. There are exactly 17 distinct planar symmetry groups. We present a fully automatic method for complete analysis of planar ornaments in 13 of these groups, specifically, the groups called p6m, p6, p4g, p4m, p4, p31m, p3m, p3, cmm, pgg, pg, p2 and p1. Given the ...
متن کاملDriving Style Analysis Using Primitive Driving Patterns With Bayesian Nonparametric Approaches
Analysis and recognition of driving styles are profoundly important to intelligent transportation and vehicle calibration. This paper presents a novel driving style analysis framework using the primitive driving patterns learned from naturalistic driving data. In order to achieve this, first, a Bayesian nonparametric learning method based on a hidden semi-Markov model (HSMM) is introduced to ex...
متن کاملMotif Matching Using Gapped Patterns
We present new algorithms for the problem of multiple string matching of gapped patterns, where a gapped pattern is a sequence of strings such that there is a gap of fixed length between each two consecutive strings. The problem has applications in the discovery of transcription factor binding sites in DNA sequences when using generalized versions of the Position Weight Matrix model to describe...
متن کاملCalmodulation meta-analysis: Predicting calmodulin binding via canonical motif clustering
The calcium-binding protein calmodulin (CaM) directly binds to membrane transport proteins to modulate their function in response to changes in intracellular calcium concentrations. Because CaM recognizes and binds to a wide variety of target sequences, identifying CaM-binding sites is difficult, requiring intensive sequence gazing and extensive biochemical analysis. Here, we describe a straigh...
متن کاملAutomatic Face Recognition via Local Directional Patterns
Automatic facial recognition has many potential applications in different areas of humancomputer interaction. However, they are not yet fully realized due to the lack of an effectivefacial feature descriptor. In this paper, we present a new appearance based feature descriptor, the local directional pattern (LDP), to represent facial geometry and analyze its performance inrecognition. An LDP feat...
